Sleepy Eye woman injured in Mankato crash Sunday afternoon

A Sleepy Eye woman was injured in a crash Sunday afternoon in Mankato. The crash happened on Highway 22 at Highway 14 at around 3:30 p.m.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Mazda Tribute driven by 25-year-old Cameron Bryce Batton, of Mankato, and a Jeep Compass Corey Donn Schewe, 56, of Sleepy Eye were both northbound on Highway 22 when the vehicles collided.

Neither driver was injured. A passenger in the Jeep, Tamara Joan Schewe, 53, was transported to Mayo Clinic Mankato with non-life threatening injuries following the crash.

Everyone involved in the collision was wearing seat belts.
