This coming Saturday, April 24, is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. That is the day in many communities when you can safely dispose of outdated or unused medications to keep them out of landfills, water systems … and the mouths of small children and pets.

However, if you live in Redwood County, you don’t need to wait for just one special day to dispose of unused medications. You can take your unused prescription medications to the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office at any time. The Sheriff’s Office has a drug take back bin in the main lobby, which is open 24/7/365.
