The Redwood Area Chamber and Tourism’s annual gala and fundraiser is going virtual this year.

The event usually attracts more than 300 guests, but with  StaySafeMN Executive Orders and event guidelines, the Chamber Board made the  decision to go virtual with their largest fundraiser of the year.

Anne Johnson, Executive Director of Redwood Area Chamber & Tourism, stated, “We have many in-person events planned for 2021, along with some virtual events and educational sessions.  Virtual probably isn’t going away, but we are going to see the in-person networking and  community events make a much needed comeback.”

This year’s virtual gala will feature the Chamber Silent Auction and Lively Live Auction going online with the help of Kerkhoff Auction and Real Estate, a local firm that has done successful online auctioneering for the past 10 years. The online auction will run from March  22-March 29. The auction bidding is open to the public, and donations to support the Chamber’s Virtual Gala Auction are still being  accepted.

Redwood Area Chamber will also award the annual Visionary Awards  during Chamber Virtual Gala Week, to recognize  successful business and community leaders, as well as non-profits, who give their time, talents, and resources to our community in such a way that the entire  community benefits.

Recipients of the Visionary Awards will be  announced at a special Chamber Premiere presentation via their Facebook page during Virtual Chamber Gala Week, March 22-29.
