The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Redwood River near Redwood Falls until Friday evening.

Normally, the flood state of the Redwood River is six feet. At 9:30 a.m. Monday, the flood stage had reached 6.7 feet. Minor flooding has been reported, with more forecast, especially in low-lying areas such as farmland and some roads near the river. The Redwood River is expected to drop below six feet by early Friday morning.

Other rivers affected include the Cottonwood River at New Ulm and Springfield, and the Minnesota River near Morton.
