Willmar woman accused of forcing prostitution

A Willmar woman is in the Kandiyohi County Jail, accused of imprisoning another woman and forcing her to engage in prostitution.

According to the Willmar Police Department, the victim said she came to Willmar from out-of-state, looking for work, and that when she got there, the suspect confined her inside the suspect’s business on South First Street and instructed her to perform sex acts on customers.

The victim said when she refused, the suspect assaulted her on Saturday.

The 55-year-old suspect now faces charges including domestic assault, false imprisonment, and inducing someone to practice prostitution.
