Willmar man stabbed Monday afternoon; suspect in custody

A Willmar man is in the Kandiyohi County Jail, accused of stabbing another man yesterday afternoon.

Willmar Police say at 4:51 p.m. they arrived at a home in the 400 Block of Southeast 25th Street to investigate a report of a stabbing. There they found a 30-year-old man Willmar man suffering from a stab wound, and learned he has been stabbed by a man he knew, 21-year-old Christian Baron.

Baron tried to leave when the police arrived but he was arrested a short time later.

The victim was taken to Carris Rice Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Baron faces several charges including assault and obstruction of legal process.
