Walnut Grove couple injured, two others die in Crow Wing County crash Thursday
Two Walnut Grove residents were injured, and two women from Brainerd and Blackduck were killed, in a Crow Wing County collision Thursday.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on Nov. 25 Robert John Heggerston, age 74, of Walnut Grove, was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado eastward on Highway 210 in Crow Wing County. At about 6:21 p.m., Heggerson’s vehicle was struck head-on by a 2001 Chevrolet Malibu being driven by Katrina Rose Lipp, age 19, of Brainerd, that had drifted over the centerline of the road.
Heggerston was transported to the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, as was his passenger, Jeanette Jane Heggerston, age 74, of Walnut Grove. Katrina Rose Lipp was declared deceased at the scene, as was her passenger Tiffanie Amber Rivera, age 21, of Blackduck.
The Crow Wing Sherriff’s Department assisted at the scene, as did the Brainerd Fire and Police Departments, and EMS.
