Victim of Sunday stabbing incident in Marshall dies

A woman stabbed in Marshall on Sunday before police fatally shot her alleged attacker in Marshall has died, according to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. The victim was airlifted to a hospital in Sioux Falls.

The attacker was shot by a Marshall police officer, and died at the scene. The stabbing is not believed to have been a random act.

The Minnesota BCA plans to release more about the incident, including the identities of the victim and attacker, once the investigation is complete.
