Two injured in two-vehicle collision near Windom Sunday

Two people were injured in a collision near Windom Sunday evening.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on Dec. 10 Leasa Maria Sieve, age 63, of Hanska, was driving a Volkswagen Jetta northbound on Highway 71, while Vincent Virgil Voelker, age 54, of Mountain Lake was driving a Ford Flex southbound. the vehicles crashed at the intersection of Highway 71 and 10th Street.

Sieve was transported to the hospital in Windom with non-life threatening injuries, as was Voelker’s passenger, Lauren Ann Voelker, age 70, of Mountain Lake.

Assisting on the scene were the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, and the Windom Police, Fire, and Ambulance departments.
