Two area residents were injured when their motorcycle collided with a deer Sunday evening.

On May 23, at 9:50 p.m., the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office got a report of a motorcycle crash with injuries. Deputies found a 1996 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by a 53 year old Lake Lillian resident, was westbound on County Road 10 near 51st Street NE when a deer ran out and collided with the motorcycle.

The driver and the 49 year old passenger from Willmar were both transported by ambulance to Carris Health Rice hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash is currently under investigation by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, which was assisted at the scene by the Spicer First Responders, Spicer Fire Department, New London Ambulance, Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, and the Minnesota State Patrol.
