Two vehicles were damaged when one of them slid on black ice near Delhi Monday morning.

According to the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, at about 9:41 a.m., a 2011 Ford F-350 driven by Joshua Peterson, age 36, of Clarkfield was stopped at the intersection of County Road 4 and 405th Street. A 2005 Chevrolet truck driven by Dustin Schweiss, age 28, of Redwood Falls, attempted to stop, and slid on the ice into the back of Peterson’s vehicle at about 45 mph.

No one was injured, but the sheriff’s office estimates Schweiss’s truck suffered over $1,000 in disabling damages.
