Three Willmar residents injured in separate one-vehicle crashes in Kandiyohi County Wednesday
Three Willmar residents were injured in two separate one-vehicle crashes in Kandiyohi County Wednesday morning.
At about 10:10 a.m., the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office was called to a one-vehicle rollover near the 200 block of County Road 8 Southeast. The Deputies found two male teens, one 16 and one 17, both from Willmar, with minor injuries. The teens were treated at the scene. Deputies determined the teens’ vehicle had left the roadway and come to rest at the edge of a cornfield.
Assisting the sheriff’s office was the Kandiyohi Fire Department, Kandiyohi First Responders, Carris Health-Willmar Ambulance and the Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad.
A little over an hour and a half later, at about 11:43 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office was called to a one-vehicle crash at the intersection of 165th Street NE, and US Highway 12, just west of Atwater. Deputies determined the driver of the vehicle, Jeffrey Corley, age 61, of Willmar, had failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection.
