Stolen Jeep leads to school lockdowns in Renville, Olivia
Two schools in Renville County went into lockdowns Monday after a 13-year-old stole a Jeep.
Renville County Sheriff Scott Hable says the teen stole a Jeep Liberty outside the county, and other law enforcement agencies pursued it into Renville County. As a precaution Renville County West was placed in a lockdown, and a Code Red notification was issued to Renville residents. There was information the teen might have been headed to BOLD school, and so BOLD in Olivia was placed in a soft lockdown, which means no visitors were allowed in during that time.
Hable says eventually the suspect was located and arrested in The City of Renville.
