Renville County Sheriff’s Office uses infrared cameras to locate man fleeing officers Friday
According to the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, early on Friday, Oct. 22, 54-year-old Samuel Torres was booked into jail on probable cause of fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance, second-degree DWI, and attempting to flee on foot. He also had outstanding felony and gross-misdemeanor warrants.
Samuel Torres attempted to evade deputies with his vehicle through marshes and mud fields before taking off on foot and hiding in a corn field. Formal charges are expected to be filed by the Renville County Attorney’s Office.
