New London teen passes away from injuries after crash near Sunburg

One of the three boys injured in a pickup-UTV crash near Sunburg Sunday afternoon has died. According to a Caringbridge page started by his parents Mike and Lara Dahl of New London, 15-year-old William “Will” Dahl passed away Tuesday morning.

His parents say Will was an organ donor. Dahl’s younger brother Harrison remains hospitalized in critical condition at Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, and his other brother Drew appears to be recovering well from his injuries.   Two funds have been set up to help the family…one is at The Open Door Christian Church, P.O. Box 743 in New London.

A gofundme page has also been set up…go to gofundme.com and search for Dahl Family. So far more than $100,000 has been donated to help the family with medical and other expenses. Will Dahl was a student at New London-Spicer High School, and students and staff there are encouraged to wear cammo or blaze orange in his honor and memory tomorrow.
