Mountain Lake man injured in collision with semi near Windom Friday

A Mountain Lake man was injured in a collision with a semi-truck near Windom Friday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at about 3 p.m. Matthew Michael Adrian, age 34, of Mountain Lake, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Highway 71.  Near mile marker 41 in Cottonwood County, Adrian’s vehicle collided with a southbound Volvo semi-truck being driven by Teklay Gebretsadi Hadbu, age 42, of Sioux City, Iowa.

Adrian was transported to the hospital in Windom with non-life threatening injuries. Assisting on the scene were the Windom ambulance and police department, and the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office.
