Man dies of industrial accident in Mankato Thursday morning

A currently-unidentified man died in an industrial accident in Mankato Thursday morning.
At 9:22am on Thursday, December 7, Mankato Public Safety personnel, both police and fire services, were called to 155 Chestnut Street with a report of an industrial accident.
There was an unresponsive 62 year old male on the roof who had reportedly been doing repairs. Emergency personnel could not immediately enter the scene until Xcel Energy confirmed that it was safe.
When crews were allowed to enter, they found the male unresponsive and it was determined he was deceased. The cause of death is under investigation pending results from the Ramsey County Medical Examiner.
