On Thursday, law enforcement agencies seized about 3.6 pounds of methamphetamine in Montevideo as part of an investigation into international drug smuggling.

On Aug. 10, the CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force arrested a 19 year old Montevideo man in connection with an investigation into the trafficking of methamphetamine from Mexico to Minnesota. During the arrest, agents seized about 3.6 pounds of meth.

Assisting at the scene were the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, and the Montevideo Police Department.
