The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of a Willmar woman who died in a Kandiyohi County collision Tuesday morning.

On July 26, at about 9:44 a.m., the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a garbage truck and a 2003 Dodge Caravan at the intersection of 60th St SW & 105th Ave SW, about five miles east of Raymond.
The driver of the Dodge Caravan, Nicolasa Bernabe-Lopez, age 56, was pronounced dead on scene. The driver of the garbage truck, Rodolfo Gomez, age 47, of Atwater, received minor injuries and was treated on scene by ambulance personnel. The case remains under investigation by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office.
The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Minnesota State Patrol, Raymond Ambulance Service, Raymond Fire Department, Kandiyohi County Rescue and CentraCare Ambulance.
