Four people, including three senior citizens, were injured when their vehicles were in a Kandiyohi County collision Monday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on May 5, Nathan Scott Whitcomb, age 42, of Grove City, was driving a 2003 Ford F-150 eastbound on Highway 12, while Gary Duane Wells, age 83, of Olivia, was driving a 2014 Ford F-150 westbound. At about 3:50 p.m., at the intersection with Kandiyohi County Road 8, Wells’ vehicle was making a left turn when the two vehicles collided.

Whitcomb was treated for non-life threatening injuries on the scene. Wells was transported to Rice Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injures, as were his passengers, Keith Allen Rodenberg, age 81, and Rita Ray Rodenberg, age 80, both of Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Assisting on the scene were the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, Atwater Police Department, Kandiyohi Fire Department and First Responders, and CentraCare Ambulance.
