Fire destroys garage, damages residence in Pennock

Fire destroyed a garage and damaged a residence in Pennock Tuesday evening.

On Nov. 28, at about 8:41 p.m., the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office along with the Pennock Fire Department, responded to a report of a fully engulfed garage fire in the 200 block of 2nd St SE in Pennock, northwest of Willmar.

Deputies arrived on scene and discovered the garage was fully engulfed. There was significant damage to nearby structures including the residence. There are no injuries reported at this time.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, along with The State Fire Marshal’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office and Pennock Fire were assisted by Pennock First Responders and CentraCare Ambulance.
