Fairfax woman injured in Highway 19 collision Thursday

A Fairfax woman was injured in a Renville County collision Thursday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on Dec. 21, Mary Catherine Volz, age 65, of Fairfax, was driving a 2014 Ford Taurus westbound on Highway 19, as was Ronald Howard Lund, age 81, of Franklin. At the intersection of 7th Street, the vehicles collided.

Lund reported no injuries, but Volz was transported to CentraCare Redwood with non-life threatening injuries.

Assisting on the scene were the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Franklin Fire Department, and CentraCare Ambulance.
