Fairfax, Mankato man, children injured in Monday collision
A Mankato man, and three Fairfax residents were all injured near Mankato on Monday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on Jan. 15 Paul Masaazi Nsubuga, age 20, of Mankato, was driving a Toyota Rav west on Augusta Drive. Diego Jacobo Gomez, age 31, of Fairfax, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado south on Blue Earth Highway 22. At about 3:50 p.m., the vehicles collided at that intersection.
Nsubuga was treated on the scene for minor injuries. Gomez was taken to the hospital in Mankato with non-life threatening injuries, as were his passengers, Naila Celeste Jacobo, age 9, and Irene Rebulloza, age 47, both of Fairfax.
Assisting on the scene were the Mankato Police and Fire Departments, Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office, and Mayo Clinic.
