Eden Prairie man injured in Friday collision, four Spicer residents unharmed
An Eden Valley man was injured, and four Spicer residents unharmed, in a two-vehicle collision near Willmar Friday.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on Feb. 2, Erick Eligiocast Ruiz, age 26, of Eden Valley, was driving a Hyunda Elantra eastbound on 48th Street, while Holly Hayne Hopkins, age 43, of Spicer, was driving a Dodge Durango southbound on Highway 71. The vehicles collided at the intersection.
Ruiz was transported to the hospital in Willmar with non-life threatening injuries, while Hopkins was unharmed, as were her three juvenile passengers.
Assisting on the scene were the Kandiyohi County Sheriff and Rescue, Willmar Fire Department, and CentraCare Ambulance.
