Drunk driving suspect allegedly strikes two buildings in Redwood Falls
An alleged drunk driver reportedly struck two buildings in Redwood Falls earlier this week.
On Monday afternoon, at about 2:43 p.m., staff at the Liquor Lodge in Redwood Falls called the police department to report their building had been struck the day before. Liquor Lodge staff was able to provide police with video evidence of the crash and the suspect inside the building.
Later on Monday, a crash at the Eagles Healing Nest building on Elm Street was reported. Upon arrival, the police officer recognized the suspect vehicle as being the same one that had struck the Liquor Lodge the day before, a 2006 Chevrolet Impala.
The car’s owner, Jeff Z. Frederickson, age 60, of Redwood Falls, stated he had taken Ambien before driving, and alcohol after the accident. He was released to a sober party.
Fredrickson was issued a warrant for fourth-degree DWI.
