Drug Task Force celebrates Marshall large-scale drug dealer finally being sentenced
It’s not often that area law enforcement sends out a press release actively celebrating the sentencing of a drug dealer. However, it happened this week.
On Monday, Sept. 26, the United States District Court, District Of South Dakota sentenced Jeremy Allan Anspach, age 46, of Marshall to 30 years in Federal Prison for Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance. Anspach assisted in the transportation of methamphetamine from Arizona, California, and other states into South Dakota. Following his release from prison, he’ll spend life on supervised probation.
For about two years, ranging from 2019-2021, the Brown Lyon Redwood Renville Drug Task Force worked closely with multiple local law enforcement agencies in the investigation of Anspach. Other agencies involved in the investigation included the West Central DTF, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, FBI and the DEA.
