The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) officially announced Thursday that  construction on the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery – Redwood Falls is expected to be  completed this summer with a dedication event scheduled for Sat., Aug. 19 at 2:00 p.m.  

State Senator Gary Dahms, of Redwood Falls, stated, “Our State Veteran Cemeteries are lasting tributes to Minnesota veterans’ service and sacrifice. I am so grateful to the collaborative and bipartisan  efforts that made the long-awaited State Veterans Cemetery in Redwood Falls a reality.” 

This will be Minnesota’s fourth State Veterans Cemetery, in addition to those in Little Falls,  Preston, and Duluth. The Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery – Redwood Falls will serve  approximately 22,000 veterans and eligible family members who reside in the area. Future phases  of gravesite development will occur as additional gravesites are required.
