Dahms says counties, tribes not to blame for MN DHS overpayments
It’s no secret the Minnesota Department of Health and Human Services has been in turmoil recently. Charges of mismanagement of funds have been made in the past couple years, with some counties and reservations receiving millions of dollars in overpayments.
Minnesota Senator Gary Dahms of Redwood Falls told KLGR on Wednesday that clearing up the problems in the DHS are one of the Senate’s highest priorities this session:

With the state budget surplus turning out to be larger than expected, Dahms said tax relief for the state’s taxpayers will be another priority for the Senate this session.
