California residents injured when vehicle overturns on icy roads near Windom
Two California residents were injured when the vehicle they were riding in overturned on icy roads near Windom on Monday.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at about 10:08 on Jan. 17, Kirk Gene Baker, age 42, of El Cajon, California was driving a Toyota Tundra westbound on Highway 60 in Jackson County. Near mile post 39, the Tundra left the icy road and rolled in the median.
Baker received non-life threatening injures, but did not need medical treatment. However, two passengers in his vehicle — Ashlee Marie Kirby, age 30, and a two year old female, both of Boulvard, California, were taken to the Windom Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation, Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, and the Windom Police and Fire Departments assisted at the scene.
