Arctic air mass moves into Minnesota
An Arctic air mass is expected to push into the Upper Midwest throughout the day and push temperatures to abnormally low levels for early November.
Forecasters say the air mass could even produce wind chill values below zero and record low air temperatures. Also, since lakes across the state have not frozen yet, lake effect snow is possible in more areas than just the usual zones around Lake Superior.
So far temperatures this month have been averaging nearly nine degrees below average.
