Albert Lea woman injured in car / tractor collision Tuesday
A woman was injured when her car rolled after sideswiping a tractor in Kandiyohi County Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on Sept. 1 at about 2:46 p.m., a 2016 Dodge Dart driven by Kimberly Angeline Jacobson, age 25, of Albert Lea, was traveling north on Highway 71. Near 270th avenue, Jacobson attempted to pass a tractor being driven on the shoulder by Dylan Rodney Roodt, age 25.
The vehicles made contact, and the Dodge Dart rolled, coming to rest facing south in the west ditch. Jacobson was sent to Rice memorial Hospital in Willmar with non-life threatening injuries. Assisting at the scene were the Stearns County and Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Departments, and Donny Hanson Towing.
