A Texas teenager was trapped in a Renville County grain dryer accident Monday morning.
On September 14, at about 10:38 a.m., the Renville County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a farm accident that had occurred on the 49000 block of 740th Ave, about five miles south of Hector.
The preliminary investigation revealed Jed Anderson from Lubbock, TX, age 15, was 15 feet off the ground, working on a grain dryer when his legs became entangled in an auger. Anderson was trapped in the auger, eventually extricated from the grain dryer, and was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center by North Memorial Air Care with serious injuries.
Assisting on the scene were the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Hector Fire Department, Hector Ambulance, Olivia Area Technical Rescue Team, and North Memorial Air Care.
