Vernon William Bloedow age 65, of rural Wanda, MN died on March 3, 2021, at his home near Wanda, MN.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Lamberton, MN.

Service will be held at the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church on Friday at 11:00 am.

The clergy will be Todd Mathison. Interment will be at the Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Wanda, MN.

Vernon Bloedow was born to Fernie and Lavon (Yackel) Bloedow on July 17, 1955 in Springfield, MN. Since 2001, Vern was the treasurer and an election judge for Waterbury Township. He served on the Christ Lutheran Cemetery Board for the last 26 years, since 1994. Vern loved farming, guns, talking, surveying for tile drainage, eating lemon pie, and teaching gun safety classes. Vern loved life and was a friend to everyone.

He is survived by his sister Eva Harder, brother-in-law Thomas Kovar, and niece and nephews – Natasha Kovar, Scott Harder, Troy Harder and Richard Erickson. Vern was preceded in death by his parents Fernie and Lavon Bloedow, sisters Janet Rippentrop and Beverly Bloedow, brother-in-law Denny Harder, and nephew Jeremy Erickson.
