Verna was born on April 26, 1936 on the family farm in Sundown Township to Albert and Adina (Zimmermann) Schultz. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Church in Springfield, MN. She attended Country School and graduated from Springfield High School. On July 24, 1956 she married Darrell Timm of Lamberton, MN. They farmed and lived their whole life together on the same farm in Waterbury Township. Verna was a farm wife and worked hard on the farm alongside her husband Darrell, doing both field and livestock work. They butchered and gardened, freezing and canning the bounty their farm provided. Verna enjoyed planting flowers, baking, sewing and having the grandkids stay at the farm. Off the farm, Verna and Darrell liked to fish, dance to polka music, and work at both the Lamberton and Wanda Legions with their friends at the Friday and Saturday night dances and other events.

She is survived by her children – Colleen (Jeff) Enstad of Watertown, SD, Joan Timm of Bloomington, MN, Nancy (Mark) Rohlik of Lucan, MN, and Jeffrey Darrell Timm of Lamberton, MN; grandchildren – Brad (Gina) Enstad and their children Mackenzie and Madison; Mike Rohlik; Dan (Brittany) Enstad and their children Clayton, Savannah and Hayden; Ben (Megan) Rohlik and their children Alissa and Caleb; and Jessie (Jason) Fernholz; sister Leona and her husband Arnold Willaby; brother-in-law Richard Boettger; sisters-in-law – Joyce Fox and Sharon Timm; and nieces and nephews. Verna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Darrell, son Scott, brother Arnold and wife Arlene Schultz, and sister Alice Boettger.
