Velma Virginia Feldman, 92, passed away peacefully at the Renville Nursing Home on June 8, 2022 at 8:10 am. She was surrounded with love from her family.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Reformed Church in Clara City.  The Rev. Matt Miller will officiate.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church in Clara City.  Arrangements are with Dirks-Blem Funeral Service, Renville, MN.

Velma was born January 31, 1930, in Stoneham Township, Chippewa County to Fred and Kate (Reyer) Barney. She was raised on the family farm and attended country school. Velma was united in marriage to Richard Feldman, October 26, 1951. They made their home in Renville, MN and enjoyed family time at their cabin on Lake Florida. Richard and Velma were happily married for 69 years.

Richard and Velma were blessed with two daughters, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Velma will be remembered for her cooking, baking, gardening, knitting, sewing, reading, walking and nurturing. She made sure everybody was well fed, loved and taken care of.  She was a lifelong member of Bethany Reformed Church in Clara City.

Velma is survived by her daughters Debra Ahrendt (Lonnie Burnson) and Patricia Surerus; grandchildren, Jason Surerus, Bobbi (Cole) Barta and Jena Ahrendt; great grandchildren Taylor Surerus, Addison Barta, Liam Barta, Alexander Ahrendt, Damion Estrada and Micayla Estrada; and several nieces and nephews.

Velma will be reunited in heaven with her grandparents, parents, husband Richard and her special dog Sammy.
