Tamie graduated from Sanborn High School with the class of 1982. On August 25, 1984, Tamie was united in marriage to Rae Trapp at Sundown Lutheran Church. The couple resided in Sanborn where they raised their children – Dustin, Derek, and Danielle. Tamie was also a 2nd mom to many children as she spent many years doing daycare. She then worked at Deutschland Meats until their closing. Tamie then enjoyed spending time with family and friends, spoiling her children and grandchildren especially at Christmas. She also enjoyed puzzles, watching the Hallmark channel, crocheting, camping, playing crap on your neighbor, and spending time in the sun, on the water, and the pontoon. Tamie was “known for her potato salad”.
She is survived by her husband Rae; parents – Dave and Betty Johnson; siblings – Tracie Erickson and Tricia (Jay) Simonson; children – Dustin (Tiffany) and their children Brayden and Ali Trapp, Derek (special friend Chelsey Matzke) and their children Braxton and Kinsley Trapp, and Danielle (Jordan) and their children Brody and Blaire Bunting; and Rae’s family – Marion (Les) Vanderwerf, Sharon Trapp, Steve (Sandy) Trapp. Tamie was preceded in death by her grandparents – Ronald and Gladys Johnson and Richard and Viola Cooley; and brother-in-law Fred Trapp.
