In Loving Memory of Suzanne “Sue” A. Cole
Suzanne, born on March 27, 1943, in her beloved hometown of Redwood Falls, Minnesota, passed away on September 10, 2023, in the very place that held her heart. She was the cherished daughter of William “Bill” and Arleen (Lang) Schmidt and shared her childhood with her younger brother, William “Jack,” and sister, Dianne.
Sue, was a proud graduate of Redwood Falls High School, class of 1961. She embarked on a diverse career journey, working for Braniff Airlines, dedicating herself as a devoted stay-at-home mother, and concurrently pursuing her passion as a licensed beautician with an at-home practice that brought joy and confidence to those she served. She also spent a number of years contributing her talents with Minnehaha Falls Athletic Club (MFAC) and later Budget Car Rental until her retirement.
Throughout her life, Sue’s journey took her to different corners of the United States, including Minnesota, Florida, and Arizona. Yet, she ultimately found her way back to her roots in Redwood Falls, where she would spend the rest of her days.
