Susan Lavonne Schroepfer was born on June 9, 1958 in Olivia, MN to Marvin and Delores (Stuhr) Reich. She graduated from Olivia High School in 1976. Sue was married to Mike Clouse and from this union three children were born. While her children were young she stayed home to take care of them. Once they were grown she worked at the Olivia Liquor Store before ending her career at her dream job at Elmquist Jewelers with the best co-workers who became like family. On August 3, 2002, Sue was united in marriage to Thomas Schroepfer, together they resided on Big Kandi Lake. She was an animal lover and had many beloved pets throughout the years. She was the queen of flip flops, who enjoyed warm weather and a cold beer. Watching cooking shows and soap operas were one of her favorite pastimes. Sue liked the idea of an adventure or road trip. Whether it was spending time on the pontoon or taking a drive to Duluth, the Black Hills, or a casual Sunday drive she liked to go but also loved coming home. Sue and Tom enjoyed time with their lake family as well as the family that they had at the Horseshoe in Lake Lillian, rarely missing a Sunday afternoon for the drawing. She entertained many friends and family members at her home; always having a fully stocked fridge and an abundant amount of snacks. “Go Big or Go Home” could be used to describe the food spread that she had when she cooked and baked. Caring for others and making them happy was her top priority. She wanted to spoil those that she loved and would remember everyone’s favorite treats. Her immeasurable love for her family and friends was evident in the way that she always thought of them first. While Sue fought hard during her health battle, she still woke up every morning with the positivity that her life was great and she could face the next day with a smile.

Susan is survived by her husband of 20 years, Tom Schroepfer; her children: daughter, Corrie (Craig) Jennissen, son, Brad (Tanna) Clouse, and son, Nick (Vanessa) Clouse; her granddaughters: Nora and Ella Jennissen; her siblings: Marv (Stephanie) Reich, Diane Jensen, Sandy Hoffman, and Gary (Diane) Reich; her parents-in-law, Jerry (Mary) Schroepfer; her sister-in-law, Kari (Cory) Brand; her brother-in-law, Tim (Kim) Schroepfer; her nieces and nephews: Stacy (James) Mainez, Ashley (Dan) Pearson, Shay (Ainsley) Jensen and their child, Theo, Josh Hoffman (Brandon), Matt Hoffman (Janessa) and their child, Harlow, Dustin (Jennifer) Reich and their children, Wesson, Wyatt, & William, Dan (Leigh) Reich, Collin Brand (Riley), Tyler Brand (Megan), and Kelsey (Matt) Templer; she is also survived by many special friends that were like family to her and many more extended family members that she loved dearly.
