Rose Anne Lee

Rose Anne Lee, age 72, of Willmar, MN died on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Bethesda Grand in Willmar.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Renville.  The Rev. Joseph Steinbeisser will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.  Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m. and will continue on Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the church in Renville.  Arrangements are with Dirks-Blem Funeral Service, Renville, MN.

Rose Anne Lee was born on October 22, 1948, in Redwood Falls, MN to Edward S. and Marie A. (Goblish) Wertish. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Faith. She grew up in the Danube area and graduated from Danube High School. After graduation she went to Red Carpet Beauty School in Minneapolis and worked as a beautician at Touch of Beauty for eight years. Rose Anne was united in marriage to John E. Lee on August 14, 1976, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Renville. They made their home in Sacred Heart and Rose later moved to Willmar. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. When married she did various jobs, including selling Avon for 25 years and was a President’s Club Member. She and John were gambling managers for the fire department for 15 years. She also worked at the Sacred Heart Liquor Store for 14 years.  Rose Anne loved Bingo, cooking, baking, sewing, scrapbooking, beading, and doing circle books. Most of all, spending time with her family and friends. She totally enjoyed her time at Hobo Park in Starbuck with her family.

Rose is survived by her son, Jeremy (and Courtney) of Willmar; son, Michael (and special friend Renee) of Marshall; granddaughter, Emersyn Rose of Willmar; brother, Edward (and Theresa) Wertish of Redwood Falls; sisters, Linda (Gary) Sorensen of Brainerd and Mary Enestvedt of Sacred Heart. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John in 2014; brother, Joseph Wertish; sister, Dorothy Borth; and brother-in-law, Daniel Borth.
