Ronald M. Morris was born on May 4, 1943, in Montevideo, Minnesota to Roy and Marion (Holstein) Morris.  He grew up on the family dairy farm and graduated from Renville High School in 1961.  He was united in marriage to Judy (Nordin) Brettin on October 30, 1971, at First Lutheran Church in Renville.  Ron served his country in the Minnesota National Guard for six years.  Ron farmed and milked cows for 42 years, which he loved, and if he was still in good health he would still be milking.  He loved his cows.  Unfortunately, he had to retire early due to health issues.  He moved into the RenVilla Nursing Home in April of 2017.  Ron was on various boards including the Cenex Co-op Oil, Emmet Township, First Lutheran Church Council serving as trustee and deacon, Renville Ambulance, Renville County Residents, Renville County Dairy Assoc. Credit Union, Renville County Fair Livestock committee, and was on the committee to build the Renville Community Center.  Ron loved going to his grandchildren’s activities when he could.  He was very proud of his children and grandchildren.  He would always ask them how they were doing and how school was.  He loved them all very much.

Ron is survived by his wife of 50 years and 8 months Judy, his sons and daughter: Jeff (and Denise) Morris of Raymond, Greg (and Angie) Morris of Renville, Matthew (and Nicole) Morris of Sacred Heart, Michael Morris of Renville, Michelle Jaenisch of Willmar, his 12 grandchildren: Christsen (and Danica) Morris, Angelina, Natalia, Cecelia Morris, Hannaha Pfarr, McKayla Phiri, Keaira and Kaedyn Morris, Mason Rohman-Morris, Sydney Morris, and April and Jake Jaenisch; his twin brother Russell (and Sharon) Morris of Sioux Falls, SD, his niece and nephew: Cindy Vaske and Steve Morris; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary following birth, and his brother Richard.

The family would like to thank Renville Health Services for all their care they gave Ron.  He will be missed by some of his friends in the nursing home.  He enjoyed talking and teasing them.  He had wonderful nurses.

Blessed Be His Memory
