Robert Eugene “Bob” Sander age 66 of Redwood Falls passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Centracare Redwood Hospital.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church in Belview.  Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls, and will continue one hour prior to services at church on Friday.  Interment will be at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Cemetery in Belview.  Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Robert “Bob” Sander was born December 13, 1955 in Granite Falls, MN to T. Eugene & Margaret (McCarty) Sander.  He was baptized January 22, 1956 and confirmed May 2, 1971 both at Grace Lutheran Church in Belview.  Bob graduated from Belview High School in 1974.  He then served in the US Navy.  Bob later attended Granite Falls Vocational College to become a machinist.  On May 24, 1975, Bob was united in marriage to Kathy Sampson at Rock Dell Lutheran Church near Belview.  Together the couple lived in Belview for a year and a half before moving to the twin cities where Bob worked for Honeywell for a couple years.  They then moved back to the Belview area sand lived on the Sampson family farm for five years. Bob began working for Warrior Manufacturing.  In 1984, they moved to Redwood Falls where they have resided since.  Bob later worked for Zytec, and retired from Daktronics in 2010.  Bob was a member of the August Donner American Legion Post 309 in Belview.  He loved hunting, camping and fishing; especially spending time at the deer camp called “The Valley”.  He enjoyed watching Nascar and the Minnesota Vikings, golfing, and playing poker or buck.  Most of all, Bob loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Kathy of 47 years, daughter Kari Brogger of Redwood Falls and special friend Jazrick, son Michael (Kristin) Sander of Mankato, grandchildren: Brennan & Layton Sander, Sophia & Nolan Netzke, and Kinley & Kasen Sander; sisters: Vicky (Pete) Kuehn, Patricia (Doug) Arnold, Cheri (Scott) Fern, Rose (Michael) Jackson, and Mary (Tim) Schwaegerl and many other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by nephews Brandon & Jaden Sander and several special cousins.
