Robert “Bob” Rothmeier
Robert “Bob” Rothmeier, age 66, of Olivia, MN passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia with Rev. Joe Steinbeisser as celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to St. Aloysius Catholic Church or Renville County Walk in the Park. Arrangements are with Dirks-Blem Funeral Service of Olivia.
Robert Edmund Rothmeier was born on April 17, 1957 in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota to Lawrence and Dolores (Koll) Rothmeier. Bob graduated from Olivia High School in 1975. He served his country in the Minnesota National Guard. Bob worked for area farmers as a farm hand for many years along with working at Sunrise Packaging, Remington Seeds, and Transystems. He enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors, hunting and fishing. Bob was a lifetime member of Wildlife Forever, North American Deer Hunter and Minnesota Deer Hunters Association. Bob passed away on his 66th Birthday!
Robert is survived by his siblings: George (and Bev) Rothmeier, Gary (and Jackie) Rothmeier, Kevin (and Shannon) Rothmeier, Charles Rothmeier, Mary Jo (and Todd) Dillon and Daniel (and Carol) Rothmeier; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Dolores; brother, Larry; his nephew, Paul; and his sisters-in-law, Sherry and Terri.
