The funeral service for Robert “Bob” Lalim, 85, of Granite Falls, will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Grace Lutheran Church in Belview.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will follow the service at the Echo Cemetery in Echo.  

Bob crossed the bridge to be home with The Heavenly Father on Friday, July 22, 2022, at the Avera Granite Falls Care Center in Granite Falls, MN.  He’s now there with his mother Christina and father Bert, daughter Lisa, and granddaughter Amber; sisters Ruby, Donna, May, Claira, Joyce and Darlene; brothers Bennie, Kenny, and Alvin.  On the earthly side of the bridge; his wife of 64 years, Alda Faye; sister Linda; brothers Elmer, Lyle, Dale and Mark; daughter Denise and sons Clayton and Brad; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a whole slew of cousins, nephews and nieces.

Robert “Bob” Clayton Lalim was born on August 20, 1936, in Maynard to Bert and Christina (Brekken) Lalim.  He grew up in Maynard and graduated from Maynard High School.  Bob was united in marriage to Alda Faye Busack on March 15, 1958, in Echo.  He lived a diverse and full life.  Bob served in the U.S. National Guard.  His favorite life experiences were law enforcement, driving bus for a casino, and his favorite of all was driving bus for kids.  He enjoyed taking them to and from school or sporting events.  He always talked with fondness about the kids.  He loved meeting new people and was quick with a joke or a good story.  He will be missed and he is and always will be loved.
