Morgan Block
Morgan Block, age 24, of Melrose, MN passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021 as the result of a car accident. Public visitation will be on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 3 to 5 p.m. at K-M Funeral Home in Lake Lillian.
Morgan Alexandra Cecil Block was born on July 26, 1997 to Jon and Sandy (Hartwig) Block in Willmar, MN. Morgan graduated in 2016 from ALC in Willmar. She worked at Gorans Brothers Inc. for a few years before working at Avon Plastics in Paynesville.
Morgan loved all creatures. Especially her bearded dragon, Toxy, and Smokey Joe, her beloved cat, who has been by her side for over 15 years. Morgan was a free spirit and a bit of a daredevil. She could often be found skateboarding, and jumping ditches on her four-wheeler. But her favorite pastime was working on tractors beside her Dad. She loved to travel and wanted to explore the world. She went to California multiple times to visit her sister. While there they enjoyed trips at Disneyland and SeaWorld. Morgan was artistic. She had a gift for writing poetry and drawing. She had a deep love and appreciation for music.
What Morgan will most be remembered for is her kind smile, gentle heart, and caring soul. She lived to make the world a kinder, gentler place. She had a special way of making people feel loved, valued, and accepted. She could light up a room with her twinkling eyes, radiant smile, and infectious giggle. Always ready and willing to lend a listening ear, a comforting shoulder, and a warm hug; she was wise beyond her years and “mother hen” to all she loved. If you were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with Morgan, your life is better because of it. She had a way of leaving love and sunshine wherever she went.
Morgan is survived by her parents, Jon and Sandy Block of Lake Lillian, MN; her sister, Jacklyn Miller of Yucaipa, CA; her brother, Philip Hartwig of Wheaton, MN; her grandmother, Sharyn Hartwig of Wheaton, MN; her aunts and uncles: Kate Block, Brian (Sabrina) Block, Wendy (Jeff) Wild, and Kristie Voss; great-uncle, Bill Hartwig; and many other relatives and friends. Morgan was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bernard and Lois Block; maternal grandfather, L. Doug Hartwig; uncles: Kevin Block, Daniel Block, and L. Danny Hartwig; and cousin, Will Wild.
Blessed Be Her Memory
