Michael Thomas Willcox, age 52 of Redwood Falls, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021 at his group home in Redwood Falls, under the care of REM and Hospice Staff. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls with a livestream on St. John Ev. Lutheran Church YouTube Page. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday. Interment will be in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to ACTS in Olivia or St. John Ev. Michael Thomas Willcox was born August 1, 1969 to Bill and Ramona (Seime) Willcox in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. He was baptized at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church and was an active member his whole life. There, he attended the Jesus Cares program and camps which he loved dearly. Mike attended Redwood Falls schools and graduated in 1990. He worked numerous jobs in his life including: Watkins Salvage, Service Enterprises and lastly ACTS in Olivia. Mike loved to play cards and have coffee with his best friend Jamie. He enjoyed watching the Hulk and going bowling. Mike loved to listen and dance to music, especially music by Elvis. You could often find him going to McDonalds to get his favorite fries, ice cream and pop. Mike touched everyone’s life that he met. He loved making people laugh and was always willing to give hugs. Mike was well cared for by his REM family and he loved them all very much. He was a huge blessing to his family and all who knew him.
Michael is survived by his father Bill Willcox of Redwood Falls; siblings: Tamara (Scott) Evink, Warren (Julie) Willcox, and Tracy Prokosch; nieces & nephews: Matthew & Noah Evink, Madeline, Allison & Clara Beth Willcox, Mason Willcox, and Nicholas, Owen & Zachary Prokosch; special friends: Jamie, Sarah, and the staff at his group home; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Ramona and brother-in-law Christopher Prokosch.
