Maxine Toltzman, age 92, of Winthrop died Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Good Samaritan Society in Winthrop.  Funeral services will be Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Olivia with Pastor Paul Meitner officiating.  Burial will be in the Olivia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. at the church in Olivia on Thursday.  Arrangements by Dirks-Blem Funeral Service, Olivia, MN.

Maxine Grace Toltzman was born January 25, 1930 at Charles City, Iowa to Ernest and Mildred (Wendt) Rausch.  She attended school in Waverly, Iowa for six years and graduated from Charles City High School in 1948.  Maxine married Joseph Zobeck at Sleepy Eye, MN.  She later married Marcus Toltzman on November 12, 1955 at Zion Lutheran Church in Morton.  Following their marriage they lived in Sleepy Eye and in Madelia before moving back to the family farm south of Olivia.  They farmed for over 20 years and retired into town in Olivia until 2005 when she moved to Jamestown, ND.  Maxine has spent the last nine years in Winthrop with the help of her son.  She enjoyed music, reading books, and traveling to visit family.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was very faithful and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Olivia.

Maxine is survived by her two sons: Charles (and Linda) Toltzman of Winthrop and Bruce Toltzman of Jamestown, ND; her four granddaughters: Vanessa (and Andy) Zobeck-Ward of Crete, NE, Danica Zobeck of Lincoln, NE, Destiny Smith of Jamestown, ND and Rebecca Zobeck of Tarzana, CA, and her nine great grandchildren.  Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Marcus; her son Daniel Zobeck; her daughter-in-law, Toni Toltzman; her grandson in infancy, Dustin Toltzman and her brother Franklin Rausch.
