Mavis Mae Prinzing, age 80, of Redwood Falls, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Arrangements are pending with the Nelson-Hillestad Funeral and Cremation Services of Redwood Falls.

Mavis Mae Prinzing was born to Herbert and Lillian (Parpart) Schneewind in Bongards, Minnesota, on May 16, 1941. Mavis grew up with her family on a dairy farm near Bongards. She attended Waconia Elementary School and later graduating from the Waconia High School in 1959.

Mavis married Malcom “Max” Prinzing on December 23, 1980, in Hampstead, Texas, where they started their life together. They relocated to Winthrop, Minnesota in 1981, she was the Co-founder of The Prinzing Motor Company with her husband Max Prinzing.  Mavis took care of the office and helped with the designing of all their vehicles.  She loved to design and create their   Prinzing Hearses and Limousines and was involved with all of their projects. One of her proudest creations was a limousine build special for Neil Diamond. Mavis and Max moved to the Redwood Falls Community in 2003.  She was a member of the Professional Car Club of America and also was a member of Bongards Church of Christ in Bongards, Minnesota. Mavis was a very creative person and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She enjoyed working with Max on all sorts of projects and spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.

Mavis is survived by her loving husband, Max of Redwood Falls; son, Mark Bentz of Waconia; daughters, Regina (Trevor) Reese of Gilbert, Arizona and Domineque (Tito) Antonio of Port Clinton, Ohio; 6 grandchildren, Megan and Minyu Reese, Zuriana, Zipporah, Josiah and Isaiah Antonio; and a brother, Duane (Betty) Schneewind of Colonge, Minnesota.

Mavis is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Lillian (Parpart) Schneewind; a son, Michael Bentz; and a sister, Ellaine Reinitz.
