Mary Ann Halliday
Mary Ann Halliday, age 92, of Olivia MN died peacefully on December 12, 2020 of natural causes at the Olivia Healthcare Center. There will be a private graveside service on Wednesday, December 16th at 10:00 a.m. blessed by Rev. Joe Steinbeisser from St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
Mary Ann Halliday was born on March 16th 1928 to George and Emma Halliday. Her parents owned the Halliday Grocery Store where Mary Ann worked before attending St. Catherine’s College in St. Paul. She received a Master’s Degree in Education while entering Convent Life. Mary Ann dedicated 20 years of her life to the Catholic Church where she taught school and shared her love of God.
Mary Ann is survived by her sister, Barbara Seger of Belton, TX; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings: Leo Halliday, Ray Halliday, Infant brother Charles Halliday, Adella Ernesti, Cy Halliday, George Jr. Halliday, and Helen Fallon.
