Manuel Romero Luna

Manuel Romero Luna, age 81, of Renville, died Sunday, October 29, 2023, at the St. Cloud Hospital.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Renville.  The Rev. Zack Peterson will celebrate the mass.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Renville.  Visitation for Manuel will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Arrangements are with Dirks-Blem Funeral Service, Renville, MN.

Manuel Romero Luna was born on May 5, 1942, in Monterrey, Mexico to Jose Amado and Josefina (Romero) Luna.  He worked in several different areas prior to moving to Carrizo Springs, Texas where he worked on the oil rigs.  It was in Carrizo Springs that he met and later married Criselda Ruiz on March 8, 1975.  They moved to Renville in 1995, and he worked fields as well as working for Valadco and later Golden Oval.  Manuel loved spending time with his grandkids, doing word search puzzles, spending time outdoors, and runs to Starbucks and Dairy Queen with his granddaughter Josie.

Manuel is survived by his daughters and sons:  Margarita Garza, Rolando (and Meghan Thompson) Luna, Josefina (and Baltazar) Cruz, Manuel, Jr. (and Elizabeth) Luna, and Criselda (and Ricardo) Morales, all of Renville; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, 3 brothers and 1 sister, and other relatives and friends.
