Loretta J. Rains

Loretta J. Rains, age 80 of Tracy, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Sanford Tracy Hospital.  Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2023 at Tracy Area Funeral Home.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Loretta J. (Pagel) Rains was born January 2, 1943 to Emil and Viona (Dunteman) Pagel in Tracy, Minnesota.  She was baptized and confirmed at Amiret Methodist Church.  In 1960, Loretta graduated from Tracy High School.  She then married Wayne Rains in Illinois.  Together the couple lived in Minneapolis and later the St. Michael-Albertville area.  After Wayne passed away, Lorretta moved to Buffalo and in November of 2022, she moved to Tracy.  Lorretta enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.  To pass the time, she loved to read and go fishing. 

Loretta is survived by her siblings: Darrell (Kay) Pagel of Garvin, Wally Pagel of Utah, and Marlene Platcek of Two Harbors; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Wayne, infant brother and grandparents.
